Ingredients
- 50–70 g sugar
- 130 g oil
- 5 g baking powder (or 30 g sourdough starter)
- 300 g apple or quince compote
- 120 g flour
- 1 apple, sliced optional
Instructions
- To a bowl, add all ingredients, and mix until homogenous..
- Add sliced apples and gently fold into batter.
- Transfer batter to a prepared cake pan (lined with parchment paper). Spread batter evenly.
- Top cake with sliced apple.
- Bake in preheated oven at 200 °C for 40 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of cake comes out clean).
