This recipe results in thick and firm cookies.

Ingredients

  • 300 g flour
  • 100 g cold butter, diced
  • 25 g coconut oil (or some more butter)
  • 130 g sugar
  • 10 g vanilla sugar
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • Chocolate chips
  • Walnuts (or any kind of nuts) optional

Instructions

  1. Cut the butter into cubes, and mix with sugar.
  2. Add the egg, and all the dry ingredients. Do not overwork the dough.
  3. Add chocolate chips and walnuts.
  4. Make two logs (diameter of 5 cm) and store them in a closed container in the fridge. Let rest for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Take the dough out, slice the logs into pieces of about 3 cm.
  6. Bake at 180 °C for 12–14 minutes for cookies that are firm, thick and slightly crunchy.
