The basic V60 recipe I follow when preparing coffee beans for the first time.

- 20 g coffee
- 300 ml water

Preparations
- Grind the coffee beans to be about the size of sand. On my Knock Aergrind, that translates to the 2.4 dial.
- Heat the water to about 93 °C. Place the filter on your V60, and wash it with the hot water a few times to remove the paper taste.
Brewing
- Add the ground coffee to the filter, and make a small dip in it.
- I do five even pours of 60 g each.
- Each pour takes around 10 seconds in a steady spiral motion, starting from the centre and moving outward.
- There is a 30-second break between each pour.
